Cumberland Restorative Justice Society is a community-based, non-profit organization.  We provide the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program to people in conflict with the law, victims, and community in Cumberland County.

The Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program (NSRJP) is a province-wide program which receives referrals for youth and adults who have come in conflict with the law. Through the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program (NSRJP), those who have been affected by criminal harms (individuals and community) have the opportunity to work with those responsible or who contributed to what happened, together with others who can offer support to consider the contexts, causes, circumstances, and impacts of an incident.

Cumberland Restorative Justice Society (CRJS) is a non-profit organization responsible for administering the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program in Cumberland County.

“Restorative Justice is respect. Respect for all, even those who are different from us; even those who seem to be our enemies. Respect reminds us of our interconnectedness, but also of our differences. Respect insists we balance concerns for all parties. If we pursue justice as respect, we will do justice restoratively.”
